Our Projects:

Currently we are working on restoration of the upper floor of the building at 515 Main Street “The Post Discovery Center”. We would like to add Medallions back to the ceiling and the hanging lights that were originally in the main room. As soon as the roof is complete, and we get the heat back in the building, we will be removing walls, fixing the paint, working on decorating the ceiling and the walls.

Oh yes, then raising money to restore the skylights!

The most exciting part will be ripping out the rug to expose the terrazzo tile and the wood floor.

We will open up a gift shop and start having more hands-on events for kids & adults and rotating artifacts in corroboration with other museums. We need to open up the corner of the main room for the research center.

Most of this is labor, paint and finding the right elements to make the room pop! Anyone with handyman skills is more than welcome to volunteer some time.
